How do bent curtain tracks work?
A bent curtain track gives one continuous path for the runners (gliders) around a corner, into a wall, around a column or through a bay window, so a curtain can travel the whole way. Speedy Blinds makes each bend from the actual dimensions and angles of the window, or from an approved template.
The alternative is a butt and through arrangement, which can be simpler to transport and install but creates a different meeting point and a different curtain overlap. Choose between them with your retailer on the look you want, the opening, the stack, the room geometry and what will physically fit through the building.
Simple bends can be specified with dimensions and angles. Irregular walls or long continuous curves need our current template process. Whatever the retailer sends has to identify the room side, the window side, where the track starts and finishes, the reference line, the bends, any joins, and the opening and stack.
One piece usually gives the smoothest runner path, but a join may be unavoidable for material length, transport, lift access or installation. Where one is needed, put it on a straight section if the track system allows.
This answer is general information. For your own windows, your retailer's advice and your order with them come first.
