What is the Made to Spec Guarantee?

The Made to Spec Guarantee is Speedy Blinds' guarantee to the retailer that what we make will match the order they sent and the manufacturing tolerances we publish for that product. It covers how the curtain, track or blind was made, not the measure or the installation. A homeowner's contact is always their retailer.

The accepted order is the specification. It records the product and the options we've been told to make. The published tolerances set out how much variation is normal in manufacturing for that product or process. Every workroom has some, and ours is written down.

If an item looks like it's outside the order or the tolerance, the retailer sends us the job number, the original order details, clear photographs and the relevant measurements. We assess the manufactured item separately from site measurement, installation, fabric behaviour, use, damage or later alteration.

There are time limits on the retailer's side for raising a claim with us, so if something looks wrong with your curtains or blinds, tell your retailer straight away.

Where a claim is confirmed, how it is put right depends on the job and where it is. Any onsite attendance is at our discretion and within Melbourne metro only. Outside metro, the remedy is handled by return and redispatch instead. The Terms and Tolerances supplied to the retailer with the order set out exactly what applies. If you're a homeowner, your retailer is your contact: tell them what you've noticed and they will raise it with us if it turns out to be a manufacturing question.

This answer is general information. For your own windows, your retailer's advice and your order with them come first.
